Before opening the destination

- SMTP server settings and, when needed, credentials plus sender and recipient addresses.

- A live SMTP connection from the ViWeb tester to the submitted server.
- Observation time
- A point-in-time connection and delivery attempt when the test runs.

Connection details and any credentials are entered only on ViWeb Tools after the explicit handoff; ClueDNS never receives them.

Enter any requested input only after the destination opens.
Boundaries
What the result does not prove
- SMTP reachability does not prove end-to-end mail delivery.
- A successful test does not represent every application host, sender policy, or receiving provider.
